Former Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has stated that nobody has the right to disband the G14, a pressure group within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
Ortom made this statement during a courtesy visit from the G14 at his Makurdi residence, charging them to continue supporting the party’s leadership.
The group’s leader, Dr. Laha Dzever, commended Ortom for the smooth conduct of ward and local government congresses and expressed confidence in his leadership.
Members of the G14 reaffirmed their loyalty to Ortom, emphasizing that as the immediate past governor, he remains the party’s leader in the state.
The meeting aimed to resolve disputes within the party and unite members ahead of future elections.
