The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has alleged that Governor Ademola Adeleke has been wrongly taking credit for the road projects carried out by the previous administrations of Rauf Aregbesola and Adegboyega Oyetola.
The party claims that Adeleke is attempting to deceive the public by fraudulently claiming responsibility for these infrastructure developments.
According to a statement by the APC’s Director of Media and Information, Kola Olabisi, Governor Adeleke’s administration’s actual contribution to the road project in question was only 20%, while the bulk of the work, amounting to 80%, was completed under the leadership of his predecessors.
The party further disclosed that significant financial investments, including payments totaling N15 billion, were made by the Aregbesola and Oyetola administrations toward the road project, with a remaining balance of N3 billion required to finalize the work.
The Osun APC emphasized the importance of acknowledging the efforts and financial prudence of former Governor Oyetola, now Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, in managing the state’s affairs.
The party warned Governor Adeleke against overshadowing the achievements of his predecessors and urged him to focus on governing diligently rather than overshadowing the accomplishments of others.
In a parting shot, the APC criticized Adeleke’s administration for lacking proper planning and relying on impulsive decision-making rather than strategic governance.
