The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State has issued a warning to civil servants and the general public about the importance of adhering to the state’s electoral laws. The party emphasized that these constitutional regulations guide the electoral process and the Independent Electoral Commission’s actions.
A statement from the PDP highlighted that any party member wishing to run in the upcoming elections must resign from their position by noon today. This move aims to ensure a transparent and fair electoral process while maintaining the party’s integrity. The PDP encouraged candidates from all political parties to prepare for this civic duty and assured them of the party’s support.
Additionally, the executive chairman of the Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission (ZSIEC) stated that no political party would face discrimination, urging all parties to participate actively in the local government elections to strengthen democracy.
