Elected governors representing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have stated that the party continues to stand as a strong and influential entity in Nigeria.
During a recent gathering in Jos, Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum and Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, affirmed that the party is well-equipped to overcome any challenges it may face, assuring that any existing setbacks will be swiftly resolved.
In a message of encouragement to PDP supporters and the Nigerian populace at large, Mohammed called for unwavering faith in the party’s resilience.
Acknowledging the concerns raised by various stakeholders of the PDP regarding internal divisions, Mohammed emphasized the forum’s unwavering commitment to fostering unity and harmony within the party.
He urged for a meeting of the National Executive Council (NEC) as part of initiatives to address internal conflicts and strengthen party cohesion.
Furthermore, Mohammed praised the party’s legislators for their role in advancing democratic principles and urged the National Assembly leadership to meticulously review proposed legislation to uphold principles of fairness, equity, and national development.
Expressing deep apprehension over the country’s ongoing economic challenges, Mohammed urged President Bola Tinubu to promptly reassess macroeconomic and fiscal strategies to enhance the welfare of the Nigerian populace.
While commending Governor Caleb Mutfwang for hosting the gathering in Plateau State, Mohammed extended condolences to the state government and citizens following a recent fire incident at a wood market.
