In a show of solidarity, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors, led by Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, convened at a rally for the Ondo state governorship election, emphasizing party unity in light of recent leadership changes.
Adeleke, serving as Chairman of the Ondo State Governorship Campaign Council, reassured party members that the PDP remains a cohesive and resilient entity and called for an enthusiastic voter turnout to support the party’s candidate in the upcoming election.
Adeleke’s message, conveyed through spokesperson Olawale Rasheed, encouraged the Ondo electorate to “cast your votes for Agboola,” asserting that the PDP stands as the superior choice for a brighter future for the people of Ondo.
Governor Seyi Makinde echoed this sentiment, urging the electorate to embrace good governance by selecting the PDP candidate, positioning the party as the best option for delivering democratic benefits for the citizens of Osun and Nigeria at large.
Senator Bala Muhammed, the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum and Governor of Bauchi State, assured attendees that the party is united, dismissing any notions of factionalism. He highlighted the ongoing efforts to reinforce internal harmony.
Acting party Chairman Usman Damagun also appealed to voters to support the PDP, while former Ebonyi Governor Sam Egwu called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to safeguard democracy in Nigeria by facilitating free and fair elections, reminding him of his responsibility as a unifier in the electoral process.
