Nigerian rapper, Speed Darlington, has made it clear that he does not appreciate being compared to singer Wizkid, cautioning fans to refrain from drawing comparisons between them.

The artist known for his track ‘Akpi’ expressed frustration at the ongoing trend of fans pitting him against Wizkid, often claiming he surpasses the accomplishments of the Starboy boss.

Emphasizing his own nearly 8-year presence in the music industry, Speed Darlington highlighted the fact that despite his tenure, he has never met Wizkid in person. However, he did mention a fleeting encounter in New York where the singer apparently recognized him.

Speed Darlington firmly rejected the notion of being equated with Wizkid and clarified the lack of any personal relationship between them, despite occasional acknowledgments from the renowned musician.

He said;

“Why are people telling me that I am better than Wizkid? How do I and Wizkid correlate? Do you know how many years I’ve been in this industry?

Seven years. Next year, May 17 or 16, I will be 8 years in the industry and I’ve never met Wizkid. Although he has previously acknowledged me in New York. He posted one of my songs. Please, stop the comparison.”
