Yunusa Tanko, the National Coordinator of the ‘Obidient Movement,’ is optimistic about Peter Obi’s chances of becoming Nigeria’s president in 2027. Tanko expressed his views during a symposium in Onitsha, Anambra State, titled “Repositioning the Obidient Movement for Greater Impact” .
He emphasized that the movement would be better prepared for the next election cycle, citing alleged electoral malpractice as the reason for Obi’s 2023 loss.
Tanko also highlighted the movement’s plan to advocate for electoral reform through legislative efforts and public mobilization. This includes bringing proposals to the National Assembly and rallying public support for fair electoral practices.
Dr. Yunusa Tanko was recently appointed as the Interim National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement Worldwide by Peter Obi himself . With his leadership, the movement aims to establish a Nigeria where the power of the people is respected, and the right leadership can bring about genuine transformation for all citizens.
