In a recent episode of the Honest Bunch Podcast, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, expressed his belief that gender plays a role in corruption, asserting that women tend to be less corrupt than men. He attributed this phenomenon to women’s family-oriented nature, which he argues drives their commitment to societal improvement.
Reflecting on his tenure as governor of Anambra State, Obi noted that he appointed women to key positions, including his Chief of Staff and commissioners for Education and Planning.
He emphasized that women’s determination to make things work is often influenced by their responsibilities toward their families.
