Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has congratulated Nigerian singer Tems on her victory at the 67th annual Grammy Awards.
Tems won the Best African Music Performance award for her song “Love Me Jeje,” beating out other notable artists like Yemi Alade, Asake & Wizkid, Chris Brown featuring Davido & Lojay, and Burna Boy.
Obi took to social media to express his congratulations, praising Tems as a “Nigerian Afrobeats star” who has secured her second Grammy Award.
He also celebrated the other Nigerian artists who were nominated in various categories, despite not winning.
Obi reiterated his commitment to “building a nation that fosters growth among the youths and helps them discover and harness their individual talents for national productivity.”
