In the face of controversies surrounding her choice to distance herself from her family name, reality TV sensation and actress Phyna remains steadfastly focused on her dreams.
The Big Brother Naija Season 7 champion recently expressed her long-standing passion for acting, excitedly looking forward to an audition in Zamfara State, which she refers to as a dream realized.
Ijeoma Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has caught the spotlight with her recent comments on her decision to part ways with her family name, noting that since taking this step, no family members have reached out to her.
Nevertheless, she insists on actively pursuing her aspirations. In an interview with Saturday Beats, Phyna shared, “Acting has always been my aspiration since my school days. The moment I heard of an audition in Zamfara State, I was more than willing to go for it. For me, this is definitely a dream come true because I am actively living my dreams.”
The winner of Big Brother Naija Season 7 also highlighted the swift progression of her career within the Nollywood film industry.
“My entrance into Nollywood has been remarkably rapid. There was a time I kept track of how many movies I had participated in over the past two years, but then I lost count.
Indeed, I have achieved so much already, and I can’t wait for 2025 to begin working on major projects and accomplishing even greater feats,” she stated.When asked about her future ambitions in filmmaking, Phyna expressed her intent to explore this path later in her career.
“I do want to venture into filmmaking in the future. While I have already created two YouTube films for myself, I plan to delve deeper into this when I turn 30.
I’m still in my 20s, and this is just the beginning for me. My commitment lies within the entertainment industry, and I’m fully prepared for the journey ahead,” she remarked.
