Former Big Brother Naija winner, Josephine Otabor, widely known as Phyna, has received an invitation from the Nigeria Police regarding an alleged incident involving a rented wig.
In recent developments, a hair vendor publicly accused Phyna of failing to return a wig after the agreed rental period had lapsed.
Phyna refuted the allegations, but she later released a video on her social media platform acknowledging that she had indeed rented the wig.
She claimed to have attempted to return it after the vendor called her out, but the vendor refused to accept it.
In her video statement, Phyna explained that she chose to keep the wig due to the damage caused by the vendor, which she felt exceeded the value of the wig itself.
It is worth noting that the hair vendor visited Phyna’s residence with police officers and left a letter for her when she was not present.
She said, “Yesterday, my younger sister called me and said I’ve visitors in my house. I asked who they were and she said two policemen, the hairstylist and one woman. I asked who the woman was but she said she doesn’t know the woman.
“And they dropped a letter. Because it’s from the police I want to know what to do. The letter reads, ‘This is the Nigeria Police. Invitation to the police.’ They now put my name, my address. Then it continued, ‘From the DPO Nigeria Police Ogudu.’ I don’t know where Ogudu is, but I will find out.”
