Nigerian rapper Phyno has fired back at critics over his decision to feature convicted felon Hushpuppi on his new album “Full Time Job.”
The controversy surrounds Hushpuppi’s appearance on the track “Nwoke Esike,” where he shares motivational quotes. Phyno’s fans were divided, with some condemning the collaboration due to Hushpuppi’s criminal history.
One critic, @Temmyt_Official, questioned Phyno’s judgment, prompting the rapper to respond: “Go and sleep if you don’t understand the game! If Young Thug or El Chapo spoke on a song, you’d rush to play it first… Ngwere isi red!” (Essentially, “You don’t know what’s going on, mind your business!”)
Phyno’s collaboration with Hushpuppi marks the end of their 2017 feud, sparked when Hushpuppi accused Phyno of wearing fake wristwatches.
