Renowned actor James Earl Jones passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, September 9, 2024, at the age of 93.
Jones was a Hollywood legend, iconic for his distinctive voice, which brought to life two of cinema’s most beloved characters: Darth Vader in the Star Wars franchise and Mufasa in Disney’s 1994 animated classic, The Lion King.
Throughout his illustrious career, Jones appeared in a diverse range of films, including Field of Dreams, Conan the Barbarian, Coming to America, and The Greatest.
Born in Mississippi in January 1931, Jones is survived by his son, Flynn Earl Jones. In recent years, he openly discussed his struggles with type 2 diabetes, raising awareness about the condition.
