President Bola Tinubu has formally inaugurated the newly appointed board and management team of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
The official swearing-in took place on Thursday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, marking seven weeks since their initial appointment on April 2, 2025.
The ceremony, led by President Tinubu, was concise yet symbolic, featuring the induction of key figures including Ahmadu Kida as the Non-Executive Chairman and Bashir Ojulari as the Group Chief Executive Officer.
The newly constituted 11-member board reflects a diverse representation across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones and relevant ministries.
Members include:
Adedapo Segun and Bello Rabiu – North West
Yusuf Usman – North East
Babs Omotowa – North CentralAustin Avuru – South-South
David Ige – South-WestHenry Obih – South-East
Lydia Jafiya – Federal Ministry of Finance
Aminu Ahmed – Ministry of Petroleum Resources
The event was attended by several top government officials, including Finance Minister Wale Edun, Information Minister Mohammed Idris, and Petroleum Minister Heineken Lokpobiri.
Following the ceremony, President Tinubu proceeded to the APC National Summit at the State House Banquet Hall.
