Professor Bolaji Akinyemi, a renowned political scientist and former Minister of External Affairs, has cautioned President Bola Tinubu to exercise caution in his dealings with US President Donald Trump, describing him as a “bully” .
Akinyemi warned that confronting Trump could lead to further suffering for Nigeria, citing an African proverb that advises against engaging with a bully unless one is strong enough to resist them.
Instead, Akinyemi suggested that President Tinubu should seek alternative ways to address any issues that may arise without resorting to confrontation.
