The Former Minister of Power, Prof. Barth Nnaji, has praised the Member Representing Enugu North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Chimaobi Sam Atu, for his outstanding performance so far at the National Assembly. Prof. Nnaji made this known when Hon. Atu paid him a courtesy visit at Umuode community.
According to Prof. Nnaji, the gains made so far by Hon. Atu was a confirmation that the people of Enugu North and South Constituency made the right choice during the February elections.
Nnaji added that he was proud of the critical contributions of Hon. Atu on key national issues.
The former Minister of Power maintained that, “Atu is the right man for the job. I was not surprised when he stood up to move a critical motion on the first day of sitting. No one had expected a new member to have such boldness.
As a lawmaker, your job is to speak on critical issues that affects your people and the country. I am happy Atu is doing it”.
Responding, Hon. Atu who was accompanied by the Traditional Prime Minister of Ugwuaji, HRH Denis Okeke Ani and his cabinet members appreciated Prof. Barth Nnaji who he described as his father and mentor.
Chimaobi explained that Prof. Nnaji and his wife, Chief Mrs. Agatha Nnaji, have played a huge role in his life.
According to Hon. Atu, “I have come to appreciate my father and mentor; a man who believes so much in young people.” Also speaking, the Methodist Bishop of Awkunanaw Diocese, His Grace Rt Rev’d Dennis Mark, and Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Ngene, said they were happy with the quality representation that Hon. Chimaobi was bringing to the table.
