PRP Slams FG Over Rising Insecurity and Economic Woes in Northern Nigeria

Published on

The People’s Redemption Party (PRP) has sounded the alarm over the escalating insecurity and economic challenges in northern Nigeria.

Abba Sule Namatazu, the party’s National Vice Chairman for the North-West, condemned the Federal Government’s approach to negotiating with terrorists, arguing that such talks only embolden them to commit more violence.

The PRP also expressed concerns about the deteriorating economy, citing rising living costs and inflation.

Namatazu highlighted the devastating impact of abandoned farmland in the North-East, North-West, and North-Central regions, resulting in a severe nationwide food crisis.

Furthermore, the PRP rejected the Federal Government’s proposal to privatize public higher education institutions, warning that such a move would harm the common man.

Namatazu criticized the disparity in educational opportunities, where leaders send their children abroad to elite institutions while many Nigerian children are left out of school, struggling to survive.

The PRP emphasized the importance of tax reforms but urged the Federal Government to involve professionals in the process, stressing that taxation is a national issue requiring careful handling.
