Crayon, the well-known singer whose real name is Charles Chibuezechukwu, recently shared that his Mavin Records colleague, Rema, provided him with accommodation for a period of two years before Crayon achieved success and recognition in the industry.

He expressed his gratitude towards Rema, acknowledging that Rema played a crucial role in his career success.

The artist behind the hit song ‘Ijo Labalaba’ revealed this during a recent interview with MTV Base Africa.

He said: “Shoutout to Rema mehn. That’s my brother for life. Rema was a big support, as well. He was very instrumental [to my career success]. You know what’s crazy? I stayed in his house for two years.”

Crayon gained significant attention in May 2019 when he joined Blowtime Entertainment, a subsidiary of Mavin Records, which propelled him into the spotlight.
