Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has declared that he is not intimidated by the outcome of the ongoing political turmoil in the state.

Speaking at the inauguration of residential quarters for Government House staff in Port Harcourt, Fubara stated that the worst possible outcome for him would be leaving office .

Fubara commended the people of Rivers State for standing by his administration despite the political instability.

He emphasized that the people have decided to take their destiny into their own hands, and he is prepared to lead the charge when the time comes.

The governor’s statement comes amid a prolonged political battle between him and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, now the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The crisis has divided the Rivers State House of Assembly into two factions and led to recent Supreme Court rulings that have been seen as a political advantage for the Wike-led faction .
