The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State has rejected the All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje’s statement that capturing Rivers State’s Government House is a top priority for APC in the 2027 election cycle.
Edwin Woko, the factional chairman of the PDP in Rivers State, emphasized that there is no vacancy in Rivers State in 2027, and the people will ensure Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s second term bid is unhindered.
Woko also reminded Ganduje that the people of Rivers State had rejected APC and its policies, and will continue to do so.
He further stated that the PDP will not allow the APC to replicate the “rape of democracy” that occurred in Edo State, and that elections must be done through voting, not manipulation.
