Nollywood actress and filmmaker Ruth Kadiri has spoken out against producers who pressure actors to achieve one million views on YouTube on the first day of a movie’s release.
In a heartfelt message shared on her Instagram, Kadiri encouraged her fellow actors to shed that burden, asserting that such expectations are unrealistic.
She stated, “Dear Nollywood actors, don’t succumb to pressure! A producer insisting on a million views within a day is setting you up to fail.
A successful movie is defined by much more than just your appearance in it. Understand that one million views are not a measure of success.
There’s so much about YouTube that many do not realize. Don’t let their lack of knowledge take away your happiness.”
