Several prominent members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi State have made the decision to defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Among them are former member Hon. Sylvester Ogbaga and former Senator Sylvanus Nguji Ngele, who cited the PDP’s failure to produce a governor from Izzi clan as their main reason for leaving.

They praised the present administration led by Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru and expressed their desire to bring more development to the people of Ebonyi State by joining forces with the APC.

The defectors were welcomed by influential figures such as Chief Matthew Uguru, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, and Hon. Stephen Nwogba, who encouraged them to obtain their membership cards at their respective wards.
