Senator Theodore Orji, a former Governor of Abia State, has hit back at his successor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, after Ikpeazu labeled leaders who criticize their predecessors as “lazy leaders.”
Ikpeazu made these comments during an event in Abuja, where he claimed that he inherited a troubled state in 2015. In response, Senator Orji, known as Ochendo Global, expressed disapproval of Ikpeazu’s statements, emphasizing the inconsistency in condemning predecessors while simultaneously criticizing his own.
Speaking through his former Liaison Officer and Senior Aide, Hon. Ifeanyi Umere, Orji urged Ikpeazu to “carry his cross” and own up to his governance decisions rather than casting blame on others.
Orji stated, “Ikpeazu must take responsibility for his actions and inactions in office, rather than deflecting accountability.”
