A toxicology test is currently being conducted in the United States of America as part of the autopsy to determine the cause of death of Mohbad, also known as Ilerioluwa Aloba.

The Lagos Coroner Court in Ikorodu confirmed this information on Wednesday.

During the ongoing inquiry, the state attorney O. Akinde revealed to Coroner Magistrate Adetayo Shotobi that the external autopsy of the deceased had been completed, necessitating the need for the toxicology test.

Akinde stated, “The toxicology test, which focuses on the internal body, is currently being conducted in the US.”

This disclosure came as a response to the inquiries made by David Fadimu, the father of the deceased, regarding the delay in receiving the test results.

In the meantime, Coroner Magistrate Shotobi requested an explanation for the decision to use a foreign toxicologist instead of utilizing toxicology laboratories available in Nigeria.
