The reality show star, Uriel Oputa, has disclosed that her recent romantic encounter with a younger colleague, Groovy, was not genuine but rather staged.
It can be recalled that Uriel and Groovy had been the talk of the town after a video of them kissing went viral, leading to rumors of a possible relationship between them.
Following the video’s release, many people criticized Uriel, who is 34, for allegedly dating a younger man, Groovy, who is 29.
However, during an episode of Pulse’s Inside Scoop with Groovy, Uriel revealed that their kiss and alleged relationship were all scripted.
Uriel said: “These last couple of days have made me realise that I don’t want to act again. Nollywood actors, I salute you guys. It’s not easy at all.
“We [Groovy and I] had a fantastic time at Lagos Cocktail Week. We were there with an amazing brand. And we were on an assignment, and we took on roles. We basically acted like we were into each other. We were flirting and everything. Everything you saw basically was an assignment.”
He added, “Yeah, it was an assignment. It was scripted.”
