The Kogi State chairman of SDP suspended for allegedly engaging in anti-party activities

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has taken the decision to suspend Moses Peter Oricha, the Kogi State chairman, due to allegations of indiscipline and engaging in anti-party activities.

Oricha’s suspension was communicated through a letter dated July 22, 2024, signed by the National Secretary of SDP, Olu Agunloye.

According to the letter, the National Working Committee reviewed the recommendations and additional reports regarding Oricha’s conduct, provided by the National Vice Chairman of the North Central Zone. These actions were deemed detrimental to the interests of the Social Democratic Party.

In alignment with the party’s 2022 Constitution, the NWC has officially ratified Oricha’s suspension from the Social Democratic Party, effective immediately.

Therefore, with immediate effect, Oricha is formally suspended from SDP membership until further notice, in accordance with the provisions outlined in the 2022 Constitution of the Social Democratic Party. Kindly adhere to this directive.
