“They love Tinubu at night” – Wike Blasts PDP Governors

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has accused certain governors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of being hypocritical in their dealings with President Bola Tinubu.

Wike claims that these governors express loyalty to the president in private but criticize him in public.

Wike made these remarks during the PDP’s state congress, which took place at the party’s Secretariat in Port Harcourt on Saturday.

He also explained his reasons for working against the PDP during the presidential election. Wike stated that he took this decision because the party failed to uphold principles of justice, fairness, and equity during the election.

He said:

“I didn’t hide it in 2023 when I said PDP I would not support you for presidential election, I said I won’t support PDP because it refused to allow equity, fairness, and justice. So, I have no regrets.

“When Buhari was there, you never saw me play two sides; I never went to the Villa at night only to come out in the day to shout.

“Some of them now love the president at night, but during the day, they say different things.

“Be a man of character, stand so that people will know that this is who you are. I hear some people saying we are supporting somebody else, why won’t we support him?

“We defeated your own candidates, tell us who was your candidate in 2023? They all lost, they are not ashamed that what they didn’t plant, they want to harvest. An armed robber is an armed robber any day, any time.”
