The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has reiterated its stance that President Bola Tinubu’s removal of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara is unconstitutional.
NBA President Afam Osigwe emphasized that the Constitution doesn’t recognize a sole administrator and called for Fubara’s reinstatement .
Osigwe likened the current solution to using a sledgehammer to cure a headache, stressing that the problem in Rivers State requires a political solution .
The NBA also disputed claims of a constitutional gap in Section 305, which President Tinubu used to justify his actions.
