TRIBUNAL ADJOURNS ADP MOTION TO STOP PETER MBAH’S SWEARING IN FOR ARGUMENTS

The Enugu State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting at High Court Enugu has adjourned the motion for interlocutory injunction filed by Hon Nnamdi Omeje who is the Governorship candidate of Action Democratic party (ADP) in the recently conducted Governorship Election in Enugu.

At the resumed hearing of the tribunal today, the petitioners Counsel -Ozo Alex Amujiogu who appeared with other team of lawyers namely O D Dimeze Esq and J.C Eze Esq, had informed the tribunal of the pendency of their Motion seeking to stop the swearing in of the 2nd Respondent (Peter Mbah) on May 29th 2023 and the said motion had been served on all the Respondents.

In their counter reactions, counsel to the 2nd and 3rd Respondents Onyechi Ikpeazu SAN / A J Offiah SAN who appeared for Peter Mbah and Anthony Ani SAN / Tochukwu MADUKA who appeared for PDP, respectively notified the panel that they have filed counter affidavits challenging the said motion.

As the petitioners Counsel was served in the course of the said proceedings, he was granted time to respond to the counter affidavits .

Based on the above , the tribunal then adjourned the petition and hearing of the motion to the 19th day of May 2023 for definite arguments .
