Ezeh Emmanuel Eze, the Labour Party (LP) candidate for the Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency in the upcoming 2023 general elections, has praised Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate, as the leader of the black race.

Eze attributed this title to Obi after the LP’s recent success in the United Kingdom (UK) election, where Obi urged UK voters to support the Labour Party, resulting in a significant victory for the party.

Eze expressed his pride in having a leader like Obi, stating that his influence extends beyond Nigeria to encompass the entire African continent and the world. Eze also described Obi as the leader of the Labour Party in Nigeria and expressed confidence that he would lead Nigerians to a better future.

During a state-wide stakeholders’ briefing held at the Citi Hub Event Centre in Abakaliki, Eze emphasized the unity within the Ebonyi State Chapter of the Labour Party, stating that there are no factions within the party.

He commended the party faithful in the state and affirmed their determination to address the party’s leadership issues at the national level. Eze also expressed the attendees’ eagerness for change and their readiness to contribute to the creation of a new Nigeria by 2027.
