Acclaimed American actress Shelley Duvall has sadly passed away at the age of 75, as confirmed by her partner, Dan Gilroy. She died peacefully in her sleep at her Texas home in Blanco, due to complications from diabetes.

Gilroy poignantly described her passing as a release from her recent suffering, saying, “My dear, sweet, wonderful life partner and friend left us.

Too much suffering lately, now she’s free. Fly away, beautiful Shelley.” Duvall’s illustrious career spanned over four decades, beginning with her debut in the 1970 dark comedy “Brewster McCloud.” She received critical acclaim for her performances in “3 Women” (1977), “The Shining” (1980), “Annie Hall” (1977), and “Nashville” (1975).

After a two-decade hiatus, Duvall made a comeback in the 2023 film “The Forest Hills.” Her iconic roles, including Olive Oyl in “Popeye” (1980), have left an indelible mark on the film industry.
