The Grammy-winning artist referred to her imprisonment as a blessing in disguise, expressing gratitude for the perspective it offered.
Tems highlighted that the experience allowed her to comprehend the struggles of those in prison, a realization she might not have had otherwise.
She further commented that her prison encounter served as a humbling experience, shaping her outlook significantly.
“Prison was once in a lifetime experience that I actually feel honoured to have had because otherwise, I would never have thought about these people, and to be in their presence was very humbling”.
