Renowned Nigerian artist Ayodeji Balogun, known as Wizkid, has expressed his appreciation for being underestimated.
He regards this underestimation as a significant source of motivation in his career. During an Instagram live chat with TEFLives, Wizkid mentioned that he sees being underestimated as a driving force behind his work.
When questioned by the host about dealing with the pressure to continuously demonstrate his abilities, Wizkid revealed that being underestimated acts as a catalyst for him to strive and excel further in his craft.
He said,
“I love it when people underestimate me, it fuels me more than anything else in the world.”
