Nigerian actor and content creator Yemi Elesho has shared details about his long-standing relationship with Grammy-winning singer Asake.
The two met during their undergraduate days at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where Elesho would pay Asake a modest performance fee of ₦700, a plate of rice, and a bottle of Coca-Cola for featuring in his movies and skits on campus.
In a recent interview with streamer Jigan, Elesho reminisced about their early days together, stating that Asake is his “day-one” and “very good friend.”
He also mentioned that they have pictures and videos of their time together at the university, where they would play celebrity football matches.
