The Youth O’clock Advancement Association, a youth leadership and development organization in Nasarawa State, is calling on Governor Abdullahi Sule to appoint youths of proven worth as commissioners in his administration.
This appeal comes after Governor Sule recently dissolved his cabinet, planning to reconstitute a new team to inject more efficiency and ensure better performance.
According to the association’s state coordinator, Usman Adamu Galadima, involving youths in governance is vital for national growth. Youths are significant pillars of development who should be taken along in cabinets to contribute maximally in the Sule-led administration.
Galadima emphasized that youth participation in government would help raise a new generation of leaders ready to take responsibilities and lead the state toward the future.
He also reiterated that cabinet members should be selected based on competence, experience, exposure, commitment, and integrity to ensure productive and efficient governance.
The association’s call for youth inclusion in governance aligns with the Federal Government’s commitment to youth development, as emphasized by the Minister of Youth Development, Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim.
