Nigerian vocalist, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, widely recognized as Iyanya, has disclosed that his former Ghanaian partner, actress Yvonne Nelson’s claim that he was unfaithful to her with Tonto Dikeh nearly jeopardized his present romantic commitment.
The popular artist, Iyanya, shared this information during his guest appearance on the recent episode of the Tea With Tay podcast, hosted by talented actor Temisan Emmanuel Ahwieh, also known as Taymesan.
It is worth noting that in June 18, 2023, Yvonne Nelson unveiled her memoir titled ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’, where she detailed her discovery of Iyanya’s infidelity with Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh when they were still in a relationship.
According to Iyanya, following the release of Yvonne Nelson’s book, someone he was interested in pursuing a relationship with became hesitant about dating him.In Iyanya’s own words, he expressed, “Those claims [made by Yvonne Nelson] are unbelievable.
They almost caused me to jeopardize a present relationship. “Before this book [Yvonne Nelson’s memoir], I was talking to one innocent girl who is not famous but immediately that book came out, everything became shaky. The girl was feeling like, ‘Omo, this guy, have you changed? Are you sure you won’t do me the same?”.
