In a recent statement, Nigerian rapper and fashion entrepreneur Zlatan Ibile criticized fellow artists who publicly ridicule others for sporting fake designer items. He emphasized the inappropriateness of mocking individuals who opt for replicas due to financial constraints.
In a viral video, Zlatan stated, “Those who purchase fake items should continue until they can afford the real deal. Someone who wears replicas today might wear genuine pieces tomorrow.”
His comments come on the heels of fashion entrepreneur Rahman Jago’s critique of veteran singer Oritse Femi for donning counterfeit luxury fashion, and Olayinka Ashogbon’s condemnation of singer Lyta for wearing imitations of his clothing line.
